The Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Series was a category in the Primetime Emmy Awards. It was awarded annually to the best variety show or similarly formatted program of the year. The award was sometimes known by other names, such as “Outstanding Comedy-Variety or Music Program” and “Outstanding Variety, Music, or Comedy Series”. From 1979 to 1988, all of the award winners were single programs, although series were nominated for the award in some of those years. Since 1994, all of the winners in this category have been late-night talk shows. ''The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'' won the award for ten years consecutively (2003—2012), the longest winning streak for a television show in Emmy Award history. In 2015, the Outstanding Variety Series Emmy Award was split into two categories. ==Award winners== *1951: ''The Alan Young Show'', CBS (Best Variety Show) *1952: ''Your Show of Shows'', NBC *1953: ''Your Show of Shows'', NBC (Best Variety Program) *1954: ''Omnibus'', CBS *1955: ''Disneyland'', ABC (Best Variety Series) *1956: ''The Ed Sullivan Show'', CBS (Best Variety Series) *1956: ''Your Hit Parade'', NBC (Best Music Series) *1957: ''Caesar’s Hour'', NBC (Best Series - One Hour or More) *1958: ''The Dinah Shore Chevy Show'', NBC (Best Music, Variety, Audience Participation or Quiz Series) *1959: ''The Dinah Shore Chevy Show'', NBC (Best Music or Variety Series) *1960: ''The Fabulous Fifties'', CBS (Best Variety Program) *1961: ''Astaire Time'', NBC *1962: ''The Garry Moore Show'', CBS (Outstanding Variety or Music Program - Variety) *1963: ''The Andy Williams Show'', NBC (Outstanding Variety Program) *1964: ''The Danny Kaye Show'', CBS *1965: no information *1966: ''The Andy Williams Show'', NBC (Outstanding Variety Series) *1967: ''The Andy Williams Show'', NBC *1968: ''Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In'', NBC (Outstanding Music or Variety Series) *1969: ''Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In'', NBC *1970: ''The David Frost Show'', Syndicated (Outstanding Variety or Musical Series) *1971: ''The Flip Wilson Show'', NBC (Outstanding Variety Series – Music) *1971: ''The David Frost Show'', Syndicated (Outstanding Variety Series – Talk) *1972: ''The Carol Burnett Show'', CBS Outstanding Variety Series – Musical) *1972: ''The Dick Cavett Show'', ABC (Outstanding Variety Series – Talk) *1973: ''The Julie Andrews Hour'', ABC (Outstanding Variety/Music Series) *1974: ''The Carol Burnett Show'', CBS (Outstanding Music–Variety Series) *1975: ''The Carol Burnett Show'', CBS (Outstanding Comedy–Variety or Music Series) *1976: ''Saturday Night Live'', NBC *1977: ''Van Dyke and Company'', NBC *1978: ''The Muppet Show'', Syndicated *1979: ''Steve & Eydie Celebrate Irving Berlin'', NBC *1980: ''Baryshnikov on Broadway'', ABC *1981: ''Lily: Sold Out'', CBS *1982: ''Night of 100 Stars'', ABC *1983: ''Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever'', NBC *1984: ''The Kennedy Center Honors: A Celebration of the Performing Arts'', CBS *1985: ''Motown Returns to the Apollo'', NBC *1986: ''The Kennedy Center Honors: A Celebration of the Performing Arts'', CBS *1987: ''The 41st Annual Tony Awards'', CBS *1988: ''Irving Berlin’s 100th Birthday Celebration'', CBS *1989: ''The Tracey Ullman Show'', Fox *1990: ''In Living Color'', Fox *1991: ''The 63rd Annual Academy Awards'', ABC *1992: ''The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson'', NBC *1993: ''Saturday Night Live'', NBC *1994: ''Late Show with David Letterman'', CBS *1995: ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'', NBC *1996: ''Dennis Miller Live'', HBO *1997: ''Tracey Takes On...'', HBO *1998: ''Late Show with David Letterman'', CBS *1999: ''Late Show with David Letterman'', CBS 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Series」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
